Catalyst Ohio is a bimonthly, nonprofit newsmagazine that  documents, analyzes and supports school improvement efforts across Ohio's large urban school districts, with special emphasis on Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus. 

The Center on Education Policy is a national, independent advocate for public education and for more effective public schools. The Center helps Americans better understand the role of public education in a democracy and the need to improve the academic quality of public schools.

Cleveland Metropolitan School District serves approximately 50,000 students in 114 schools.  The district envisions 21st Century Schools of Choice where students will be challenged with a rigorous curriculum that considers the individual learning styles, program preferences and academic capabilities of each student, while utilizing the highest quality professional educators, administrators and support staff available.

The Education Commission of the States (ECS) is a national, nonpartisan nonprofit organization that helps governors, legislators, state education officials and others identify, develop and implement public policies to improve student learning at all levels.

Ohio Grantmakers Forum's education policy initiative entitled "Education for Ohio's Future," seeks to help members become more effective education grantmakers by better understanding public education in the state.
